SHAWNEE, KS (February 17, 2016) – A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the grand opening of a new 114-room Holiday Inn Express & Suites on Wednesday. Shawnee Mayor Michelle Distler, and members of the city council, area chamber of commerce, as well as other dignitaries and guests celebrated the opening of this new hotel space that will benefit the many visitors and tourists that travel to area attractions every year.
